I’ve decided to discontinue my lovingly designed desk and list pads – so I’m dedicating this post to showcase them while stock lasts.
Although I absolutely love designing and selling them, unfortunately I can’t find suppliers that quite match my quality standard, and it’s disheartening to receive damaged pads. I’ve gone through three different suppliers and I think it’s time to admit defeat.
The pads are also quite difficult to store in bulk – unless I tightly package them with shrink wrap. But plastic packaging and wastage of products don’t align with my values – even more good reason to discontinue the range. I also looked into cardboard packaging, which turned out to be rather expensive, and I didn’t want to pass that cost on to my lovely customers.
So let’s have a look back at the pads I designed.
I love how nature-inspired and minimal my designs are
They leave a lot of room for scribbles and writing to-do lists! The pop of nature-inspired illustrations around the edges really gives me joy (I have one of each and am still using them at work), especially the bees!
Tropical Garden Desk Pad
Designed in 2017, this was my very first desk pad, inspired by my visit to a greenhouse in Woodthorpe Park near where I live. I also painted Tropical House around that time, inspired by the very same greenhouse.
Wildflower Pads
The Wildflower Border Desk Pad and Wildflower To Do List Pad joined the range in 2021. I first launched them (as part of my Wildflowers collection) at my first Top Drawer stand, where they were received extremely well. I was inspired by reading vintage books about wildflowers and spotting wildflowers on my countryside walks.
Sunflower Desk Pad
This pad brought a sunny cheer to the range in 2021. I’ve never grown sunflowers but I have always thought they’re so pretty!
My English Garden collection
I designed and launched the Garden Flowers Weekly Planner, Garden Flowers Desk Pad, Bee Desk Pad, Busy Bee To Do List Pad, and Fresh Produce Magnetic Shopping Pad in 2022, as part of my English Garden collection. The latter was so popular it sold out pretty quickly! The collection was inspired by the outdoor gardening I’d started to dabble in during lockdown. I might be an expert on growing houseplants but when it comes to growing flowers and vegetables, I’m not quite as green thumbed, but I’m getting better!
That’s my whole range of desk and list pads – get one soon if you’d like one!
