I am so pleased to say that my Christmas cards for this year is finally ready to buy! For the last 4 weeks, I was having problems with two different printing companies that I lost excitement in my new Christmas designs and felt deflated. However after a few tears, I kept going, looked for another printing company, waited patiently for delivery and finally, I was happy with the result (third time lucky!). The print quality is excellent and paper is gorgeous! Hooray!
I painted these festive designs with gouache. I was experimenting with it for a bit before I started and thought it’d be fun to try out different medium for this year’s Christmas paintings. Being not totally comfortable with this particular medium, it took me a while to learn how to use it and finish painting them, which I really enjoyed. The handlettering was done with a brush pen.
They are available to buy as a pack of 4, 3 packs (12 cards) or 5 packs (20 cards) over at my shop.
I try to shop small every Christmas so feel free to leave your links if you are also doing Christmas cards. And if you could give feedback on my new cards, that would be lovely too!
Choosing this planner, Iconic ‘Seize The Day’ Free Planner, from Fox & Star was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I used Bullet Journal technique for years so I didn’t have a proper planner or diary and I was starting to miss it.
There are monthly and weekly layouts, enough for a year. They are undated so you can start using it anytime. In monthly section, I write down events, reminders etc and in weekly section, I write down to-do list daily. I started this planner just three weeks ago and I found this system to really work for me already. There is also a free note section, which is always useful.
The appearance is a massive bonus – the cover is textured that feels nice and sturdy. Look at that pretty pattern inside! There are see through pockets inside too so I can store recent receipts or business cards.
I am clearly very pleased with my new planner! What is your current planner like?
This is one of my latest paintings – I have been painting a lot but they are for Christmas cards and possibly new products so keep your eyes out for them when they are ready to fully share! You can follow me on Instagram for work in progress or sneak peeks.
I was always inspired to paint foxes in autumn times as they come out looking for food a lot when it gets colder out and I saw four on my way home on the other day! They are cute.
This fox was painted with Cotman’s Watercolour Painting Plus. Because I got a bit carried on painting too many layers, I think it needs some white acrylic paint for highlights to make the painting brighter.
Have you been painting foxes too?
